'All-star finale' for BB?
|
Big Brother’s first winner Craig Phillips has confirmed that producers are considering uniting the show’s ten champs for the next series. The builder was the last man standing in the first edition of BB back in 2000 – and now he could be set to go back into the house for a special all-star version, if the show’s bosses have their way.
The Scouser claims he would be up for living with nine other winners, insisting the special would be a good way to end the long-running show.
He said: "I think it would be a nice way to go if it was a short charity series - it would be the icing on the top of the cake."
Despite handing over his £70,000 prize fund to pay for a friend’s surgery, Craig is now worth an estimated £5 million – but he reveals his successors haven’t been as lucky.
He adds: "More than half aren't working and they are struggling for money and can't pay the bills. They're on a downer now.
"They were in the public eye, getting money for magazine deals and personal appearances and now they're not, so it's really difficult.
"People think going on Big Brother will set them up for life and open lots of windows - but it doesn't always work like that."
Winners Brian Dowling, Kate Lawler, Cameron Stout, Nadia Almada, Anthony Hutton, Pete Bennett, Brian Belo and Rachel Rice (above - remember her?) could all be set to join Craig in the special show in 2010.
